Anti-Dengue programmes in Kelaniya schools

Public Health Inspectors attached to the Kelaniya MOH Office have taken steps to launch anti-Dengue programmes in 20 schools under the purview of the Kelaniya MOH Office. The programme will be conducted on the instructions of Kelaniya MOH Dr Wasantha Rajapaksa. All school buildings will be checked for Dengue breeding places and school premises will be cleaned under the supervision of PHIs under this programme once a week.

All government and private institutions will also be checked for Dengue breeding places.

Action will be taken against those found having Dengue breeding grounds, Dr Rajapaksa said.
